Blair Atholl Horse Trials ’18

30/08/201829/08/2018 TheScottishEquestrian2 Comments

Another year of Blair horse trials is now over and this year I realised one thing. We really need to invest in an inflatable air mattress. Previous years I was perfectly fine sleeping with the mats and blankets underneath. However this year after a bit of a chaotic ceilidh on the Thursday night another three [...]

Unaffiliated Showjumping || August ’18

August gearing up to be a busy horsey month but Eva is only featuring in one weekend! Don't worry I'm sure she's delighted. As I have previously mentioned Eva is a very independent horse and quite frankly I am the mere human that gets in her way. First up is a common ride out. Common [...]

Let’s Discuss : Riding Lessons

21/07/201821/07/2018 TheScottishEquestrian3 Comments

Todays topic: Can you substitute lessons for reading articles or youtube videos? There no denying there is a lot you can learn from YouTube and reading - a hell of a lot. I am not debating that. Secondly the horses were turned out 24/7 for the summer [...]

Last night my instructor got on and made her do some work! Eva was absolutely furious that she couldn't push him into working harder than she was since she gets away with it with me 😂
