Last weekend I entered Eva and I in an unaffiliated showjumping competition. I entered us in the 90cm class which was run as a table A7, which means that everyone jumps a round and if clear they go on to a jump off round which is a short course against the clock.
Overall I am quite happy with how the round went. Unfortunately we didn’t get through to the jump off as we knocked the last jump! It’s was completely my doing – as I am sure Eva will agree – I think I was surprised that we had gone clear and didn’t ride the last jump with enough energy as I should of. But that being said the whole round I felt like Eva was taking me round more and we were working as a team so I am not that upset about knocking the last as the rest felt so good.
Although coming up to number one Eva did want to have a bit more of a closer look at before popping it nicely. For a heart beat I thought we were going to crash through the jump but perhaps Eva was just making sure I was paying attention!
There is another unaffiliated jumping competition in December which I definitely want to enter us in and hopefully get round clear!
