August was a blast ! What with galloping round the hills on a common ride, Eva jumping her heart out in some unaffiliated showjumping that was the first in a while and watching top class eventing at Blair horse trials it is going to be nice to have a weekend off!
This month there is not too much planned in comparison. I am going to book myself in for one or two, much needed, lessons!
There is also two jumping events on. One is a jumping pizza night in which I think I might attempt the meter class! That is if I don’t chicken out first!
The second is an unaffiliated showjumping show in which the max height is 90cm so I think I will enter us for that as well.
The horses start coming in during the night for the winter in October, therefore it is the last month for Eva to be out 24/7. On the one hand I do think she likes being out but on the other hand she does settle down a lot when she is in the routine being brought in and put out at certain times. Hopefully as she was in for the winter last year she will settle pretty quickly.
